Good Morning!

Have You Spoken to God Today?

We wake up, reach for our phones, check our messages, think about our responsibilities, and begin planning the day ahead.

Sometimes, before our feet even touch the floor, our minds are already occupied with everything that needs to be done.

But somewhere in the middle of all that activity, have we stopped to acknowledge the One who allowed us to see another day?

Did you remember to pray?

Did you thank God for the breath in your lungs, the beating of your heart, and the gift of another opportunity to live, love, learn, and grow?

Did you ask for His guidance in the decisions you will make, His wisdom in the conversations you will have, and His protection over you and those you love?

Sometimes we become so accustomed to waking up that we forget waking up is itself a blessing. Tomorrow is never promised, yet here we are, recipients of another day of God’s grace.

And prayer does not have to be elaborate. You don’t need carefully rehearsed words or a perfect setting. Sometimes a sincere “Thank You, Lord, for keeping me through the night. Please guide my steps and cover my family today” is a beautiful place to begin.

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)

Perhaps your morning has already been difficult.

Perhaps you rushed out of bed, hurried to work, or found yourself overwhelmed before the day even began.

That’s okay. The opportunity to speak with God hasn’t passed.

There is still time. Before you get too far into the day, pause. Give thanks. Ask for His covering. Invite Him into the ordinary moments as well as the difficult ones.

And remember, prayer isn’t simply something we do to start our day. It is a relationship we nurture throughout it.

Good morning, and may you walk through today with a grateful heart, a prayerful spirit, and the assurance that you do not have to face it alone.
